All this while her Quileute friends change species entirely, and old/new Vampire friends/enemies keep popping in unexpectedly.

His body had manifested itself once again, no longer a massive flame that demons cowered to. No, no what stood in place of his eternal flame was a body he had refused to occupy for 24 years. A growl tore through his throat as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. His bright purple hair, his glowing golden eyes, dark purple patterns covering his fuchsia stained flesh.
“The last time I seen this form Ryu was still alive.” Gwi-Ma spoke in a strained tone as he reached out and touched his own reflection in the mirror. A surge of anger coursed through him and then his claws dug into the glass shattering it. Another snarl taring from his lips as the glass drew black blood.

Gwi-Ma now knows Rumi is his daughter, and he intends to make Celine pay for banishing him and separating him from Ryu and Rumi. But first, there’s a cute man that’s caught his attention.

She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
