☆ 'He could've fell for anyone, yet he decided to fall for an incredibly stupid, annoying citrus who he knew he could never have, which only worsened it. There was something about his goofy grin, albeit disgusting in consideration of his teeth, that made him feel things he hadn't felt in a while, for someone he never thought he'd feel those for.'
☆ 'He could act like his own stubbornness was the only barrier, but he knew that Orange belonged to another. He could never put himself in a position that got in-between him and Passion, they were meant for each other in every way, the way they'd fluster around each other, how they'd get defensive when questioned about said feelings by people, acting freshly in love and both completely oblivious.'
Even in the situation where his life hung in the balance, Pear knew he could never bring himself to either rid himself of his feelings or confess, and if that meant his death in exchange for a blossoming relationship fated to happen or his own peace of mind, he could almost convince himself it was worth it.
It was never meant to happen anyway, doomed to be star crossed with the hand he was dealt. It was better this way.

It's a couple weeks after the admin incident, and everyone in Beacontown (while hopeful) are still on edge. Petra has gone off on her adventure. Olivia and Axel are about to return to their own towns. So now it'll just be Jesse, Lukas, Radar, and a couple of their other friends helping with the last of the rebuilding.
However, as the week goes on Jesse realizes that he's not out of the water yet. Turns out taking away an admin's power can lead to some unintended side effects. Side effects he never wanted in the first place... And he's not the only one.

The Spectre requires fear, but certain individuals don't fear the killers themselves. Either that or fear things far more than death. So, it seems that The Spectre needs to get creative in extracting such primal emotions by adding a few changes into the current lifestyle of the survivors.
(Aka Found family/comfort fic for mostly 007n7 cause his lore makes me sad)

Fifty seconds. Sixty—a minute. Then seventy.

Or; Injuries do not last in the Spectre's realm outside of phantom pains and aches. Until one does, and it's possibly the worst one that could've, just shy of a life-ending one.

The Spectre is cruel. Fickle. A volatile entity who only values entertainment above all else. Boredom is the worst torture imaginable for IT.
The survivors have grown complacent, gone are the days of fearful glances and tearful goodbyes. The killers have grown predictable, now losing more and more of their matches with each new round.
Teamwork, hope, friendship—those were not what the Spectre meant to cultivate in this realm. Yet, the spark of life had been reignited in the damned survivors.
Of course, the Spectre was quick to snuff out that flame before it was too late.
When the repeated games grow boring, IT decides that some things must change in order to make the cycle of death exciting again.
