“Please,” Jayce pleads. He’s still lingering by the doorway, waiting either for permission to come closer or to be cast out. He’s not sure. “How can I make it up to you?”
“Make better choices. Work harder. Find a way to keep me alive and maybe, I’ll live long enough to forgive you.”

Jayce's ignorance slips out with his comment about the undercity, and he immediately regrets it. Now if only Viktor will let him make amends. Or at least try to.
