    Eager to put some distance between them. He wasn’t expecting it to feel so difficult, to walk away from her. That every fiber in his body told him that he was better, stronger with Lisbon at his side backing his play."

    "There won’t be another smiley face added to his conscience. He pushed down on the gas willing the car to go even faster."

    This story explores the idea of Patrick Jane driven to the brink, were he feels that death, is his only way forward. Set some time after 6x01/02 and goes completely AU after.
