Eddie looks at his reflection, the sight of kissed and bruised and bitten skin of his throat and shoulders and chest making him feel like he’s on fire all over again, like his skin is burning everywhere Buck had touched him.
It makes him feel sick, ashamed, and that makes him feel… broken.
Eddie meant what he said a while ago. He’s broken and he can’t fix it. He isn’t sure that he can ever be fixed, he doesn’t know how, he doesn’t know how to do it himself or how to let someone close enough so that they can help.
(or: Buck is in love with Eddie, Eddie doesn't believe he's allowed to feel the same, and after sleeping with his best friend, no matter how hard he tries, Eddie can't escape his religious guilt, as well as the words his father told him when he was only ten years old. Oh and Buck gets kidnapped.)

Buck saved Eddie while they were both in the military, so he’s excited to see him again. Eddie, however, doesn’t seem to remember him, which pisses Buck off. It’s not until a few weeks into working together, that the memories come back. Unfortunately for Eddie, he only remembers Buck from back then as pretty boy angel.

“Can you give me any details?” Bobby chokes out, he needs to know what happened. Needs to be ready for whatever is to come. Because it’s something. His eyes met Eddies, whose eyes are shiny.
They don’t call if Evan isn’t hurt.
“Officer Nash, Evan.” And the man does sound affected and Bobby realizes that this man may directly know his son, “Was out in the field, a infiltration mission, I apologize I can’t be more specific.” Bobby doesn’t give a fuck, “We were ambushed, I’m sorry Captain but Evans leg was crushed underneath a tank.”
