Summary
To say it was a miscalculation would be an understatement and somewhat... incongruous, given the nature of the events— which should not be present in nature, in the first place.
The... outcome, Mulder thinks — hastily removing the word 'result' since that would entail a scientific explanation (and nothing about this is explainable) — had left him in a form that was familiar to him, at least 24 years ago.
He would have opened an X-file, if only he could reach the top drawer... or he could ask Scully without her thinking he's messing around with her dear uncle's stash.

Summary
One night, a little girl knocked on Fox Mulder’s apartment door — and that’s how the story began.
In this story, they finally get a chance at a life beyond investigations, a life they’ve never had before.
(This isn’t about an established relationship — it’s more like a story about the first time… And the second one, too.)
Their little family will gradually take shape in Mulder’s bachelor pad.
Mulder will finally become a dad. He didn’t ask for it, but hey — who ever asks him anyway… 😂 (By the very end of the series, he’d regret it so much that I just couldn’t resist giving him this kid.)
And of course, there’ll be some supernatural stuff thrown into the mix. (I mean, come on — it’s *The X‑Files*.) The show’s canonical mythology, with a few creative tweaks.
So… let’s play house for a while — with a kid in the picture.

“Brother?” Thor rasps finally, blue eyes dark in the light of a clear Asgard day.
Loki looks around the room and then behind him, as if confirming no one else could be causing Thor's confused state. “Yes?”
Thor reaches up, pulling on the ends of his own hair, and then winces. “I do not understand,” he mumbles. “This is an odd form of Valhalla.”
“Valh–” Loki starts, stops. “Did you hit your head yesterday during training so hard to give yourself a concussion that I missed?”
“Yesterday,” Thor says, clearly speaking only to himself. “What was yesterday?”
