Summary
Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe was given one more chance by her mother after being sprung from the Bellerae City Jail--and she took it. She became the model businesswoman and eventual CEO of Arbalest Arms Company, making changes that she never could have made before. Successful, yes; but her happiness was up to debate. Described as a rattlesnake of a woman, she never married, never had a family, and when asked, she said she was fine with it.
She didn't think much about what happened to that scrawny discount vaquero she'd encountered in the jail when she was almost eighteen. No more than anyone thinks about someone they met for a moment, twenty years ago. That is, until he walked back into her life in a leather jacket in a dingy bar with some of the best of the best of his gang. Not looking for her, no. Not looking for trouble.
Just looking for a chance to buy a woman a beer.
OR, an au in which Cassidy founded Deadlock Rebels without Ashe; an au in which Ashe took over the company; an au in which they fall in love, again, but differently.

But first they must wait-out a train ride. Ashe realises her captain is shaken, and offers to help.

So, here's the deal—Dez kept her dick, and she likes it. So, when she says she's a Special Order, it means exactly what Ashe thinks it does.
What starts of as some thirsty fun quickly starts raising questions: Is the Junker Queen really falling for an outsider who's so clearly attached to her Big Omnic Butler? After thirteen years, is Odessa Stone getting too soft for the throne? When it's time for the reckoning, will Ashe let old patterns get in her way, or will she stand with the Queen against it all?
Unless otherwise cited, all images used for the CallSigns app are from the game and the associated media. I've used Comic Relief and Comic Neue for the CSS, but the workskin allows for plenty of back-up options, and I'm always happy to add other fonts for any accessibility concerns.
I've absolutely fallen for this ship while writing it, and I hope y'all enjoy coming along for the ride.
