Summary
A rewrite of episode four and what happens afterward.
“Well yeah,” Shane said, his voice took the slightly bratty tone that Rozanov loves. “You keep your house cold as shit.” This made Rozanov burst out laughing. He went towards his dresser to pull out a hoodie. He pauses as he sees Shane’s perfectly folded outfit settle neatly on the wood. He lets a small smile cross his lips within the privacy his back has provided from Shane. Like in every piece of clothing Rozanov has ever had the luxury of peeling off of Shane’s body a neat S.H. was written on the label of Shane’s jacket. He was about to toss an old CCM sweatshirt to Shane when a different one caught his eye. The team had got them this year, they were black with the Boston Bear’s logo in yellow. The hoodie was branded with Rozanov’s number and last name on it. The thought of Hollander, Montreal’s and the NHL’s golden boy, wearing his name did something to him. I guess he didn’t care that Shane was a hockey god, the only thing he cared about was the fact that in a few moments he was going to see Shane wearing his last name. Something he couldn’t let himself dream of.

Summary
Shane opens his mouth a few times, like he tries to get words out without succeeding.
“But it hurt you too,” he says finally. “You just wanted to check on me, your fucking boyfriend, after I got hit. And I pushed you away.”
Usually, hearing Shane refer to himself as Ilya's boyfriend sends a warm shiver down his spine. But now, with that almost venomous voice, the shiver is instead cold as ice.
OR, Shane gets injured during a game and Ilya is once again forced to see him unmoving on the ice. Neither of them handles the aftermath well.

When Shane opens his eyes again they are so kind and warm, but swimming in tears.
“I have never told anyone this.”
“Shane, just tell me, please.”
“It’s about… It’s about what you told me. About your mom.”
Dread fills Ilya, ice cold in his veins. “Shane, you are scaring me.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.” Shane takes a deep breath, hand still pressed against Ilya’s cheek, eyes locked into his.
“Ilya. When I was eighteen, I tried to kill myself.”or, Shane tells Ilya he tried to kill himself and suddenly Ilya is more scared then he has ever been in his entire life. He didn't know he needed to fear this. But Shane won't let him drown in it. They will take care of each other.

Summary
This needs to end. He doesn't want to see Rozanov again. Ever. He’s done with this. He can’t do just sex anymore, that much he knows. And if that’s what Rozanov wants, he sure as hell hasn't got any trouble finding willing bed partners in any city it seems, something Shane has spent more time than he is willing to admit thinking about. No, he needs to end this now.
