My first ever fanfic upload on AO3!
Taking place in 2008, USA, Springfield, and the Simpsons Universe! This fanfic occurs around nine years from the current Simpsons' Timeline. Robert Terwilliger - previously known as Sideshow Bob - is living a regular life as a university professor of English Literature, teaching at Springfield University. Robert's life had been far from steady, but for the past eight years, he has managed to finally find a place where he belongs, and a job he loves. And for seven of those years, the only true constants in his life have been Janet Smith, a close friend and co-worker, and his son, Gino, who is now 10 years old.
After a tragic accident turns Bob's life upside down, only one of those constants remain. The steady life he has built now feels blown to pieces. As the dust settles after the accident, Bob has to find a way to go on - with his co-worker and friend, Janet, still beside him.

Summary
Grace is unprepared for the level of love that all of Erid seemed to have for him. It was vaguely terrifying, but also.... nice? To be cared for. To be wanted.
It gets worse when they find out the circumstances of him ending up on the Hail Mary.
When his declining health necessitates a trip back to Earth, he is faced with a planet that loves him so fiercely and wonderfully that it finally starts to break through his crippling lack of self worth and bloom into something incredible.
And Earth? Earth has to deal with an Erid that is polite, protective, and most of all, pissed.

Eva Stratt is NOT the best thing that has ever happened to Planet Earth. But Earth needs Eva Stratt anyway, and Eva Stratt needs Ryland Grace. His offspring certainly complicates things, but when has 'complicated' ever stopped her?

Summary
Grace had accepted his fate. He would return Rocky to his home planet, and then, he would die. But now, as their journey to Erid comes to a close, Grace realizes the truth. He doesn’t want to die, and Rocky can’t sit back and watch someone else he loves die. The duo works together to find a way to keep Grace alive, but that is much easier said than done.
