Summary
Hiroaki drones on as he always does, retelling step by step exactly how Tamba had been able to kill Hayashi. Hasegawa doesn't listen to any of it. None of it is correct, and he doesn't have the heart to feel even a little cathartic at that fact.
Hiroaki's so-called "truth" covers the courtroom like a warm blanket over a sleeping infant, except to these people, the warm blanket is more like a scalding heat of betrayal.
Hiroaki's so called "truth" is mangled and broken, more similar to roadkill than any sort of fact. It's quite sad.
