Summary
As soon as Phainon stepped foot into the garden, his eyes immediately zeroed on Mydei sitting in the sea of bright flowers. His parents were beside him, quietly talking to each other.
Phainon’s breath hitched but before he could walk away and try another day, Beagle Coconut broke away from the mini chimera formation at Phainon’s legs with an excited shriek as soon as it spotted Fig Stew sleeping near Mydei. It barreled into the poor creature, talking a mile per minute and ignoring Fig Stew’s sleepy hissing and bristling fur. Beagle Coconut’s blue eyes sparkled like two little stars as it relayed everything that happened to it in the short time they were separated.
Phainon felt himself die a little inside. Was that how he acted when he was away from Mydei for a few days?
a strange curse had befallen the newly restored Amphoreus causing all of her people to wake up with breathing, living manifestations of their emotions. Suddenly everyone averted their eyes. Phainon, clueless to what was going on, cocked her head to the side. “What about her?”
“Have you seen her?”
Phainon shook her head. “Not yet, no.”
A girl sitting opposite of her blushed a deep, deep red. She hid her face in her hands.
“You’ll know when you see her then,” someone in the back said, their gaze faraway. “The Crown Princess. That’s the true rite of passage in Castrum Kremnos.”
Every place had its rules, its unwritten traditions - getting tangled in Goldweaver's golden threads was one for okhemans, jumping off a tall cliff was one in Bulsa. For Castrum Kremnos, though, it was having an infatuation with their own Crown Princess apparently.
Phainon had quickly found out just how troublesome it was when she became one of the personal guards of that very princess. But Phainon was a professional. She'd never let her feelings get between her and her work, right?

Summary
Mydei, a lionfish and the former prince of a fallen empire, is sent to Aedes Elysiae on the orders of his new masters to bring back the head of the beast seen overfishing their waters. Unbeknownst to him, the shallows of Elysiae are home to not one, but three monstrous beasts all with a taste for lionfish.
Mydei's entire world is flipped upside down as Kremnos' secrets are revealed and Mydei falls victim to the creatures and their perversion. On the bright side, at least they're all wildly attractive
