Summary
Sokka is a simple man. He likes driving his car, hanging out with his friends, and supporting his best friend Zuko’s theater dreams. Even if it does mean being subjected to listening to songs about whatever musical is being put on on repeat.
But when Zuko unexpectedly lands the lead role of Veronica (Victor) Sawyer in Heathers due to the original Veronica breaking a leg (literally), Sokka's role as supportive best friend comes to a massive roadblock. Mainly because the guy playing JD is Jet. As in Jet, the guy who broke Katara's heart. Jet, Zuko's ex-boyfriend.
Sokka told himself he could survive this theater season as he has many before, but watching his best friend simulate riding his garbage ex on stage opening night in front of an auditorium full of people? Yeah, Sokka is having a massive crisis.

Summary
He gripped the cool ground beneath him, heart racing as he replayed the events that brought him here. Viktor—in his desperate attempt to undo what he had wrought. The moment he reactivated the anomaly, he transported in a burst of light and sound. He expected to return back in his world. Not this.
“Jayce? You’re late—are you alright?”
The voice was soft, familiar, and devastatingly gentle. Jayce turned his head, and his heart stopped.
Jayce turned, his pulse roaring in his ears. There, standing in the doorway, was Viktor.

Or: When doomed Viktor teleports Jayce back to his original world, his time signature collides with Ekko's. Now Jayce finds himself in the opposite universe of where he just escaped. And maybe he doesn't want to leave.

Jayce gently kissed Viktor’s hands, his lips warm and tender against the trembling fingers. “You’ve always been enough, Viktor. More than enough. And I...” He hesitated, his heart pounding in his chest. “I’ve loved you for so long. I just didn’t know how to say it. Maybe I was afraid, or maybe I thought you wouldn’t feel the same. But here, now, in this place... I need you to know. I love you, Viktor. With everything I am. In every universe, in every timeline, it's us.”
Viktor looked up, his amber eye shining with unshed tears, and for a moment, he simply stared at Jayce, as if trying to comprehend the words. Then, with a trembling smile, he spoke. “I have loved you too, Jayce. For longer than I can remember. Even when I was consumed by my work, even when I doubted myself... you were always there. And you were always the reason I kept going.”
TLDR: Jayce doesn't know where they are, but he knows he's with Viktor. And that's all he needs.
