In her defense, the guys in the line for the party smelled weird.
That’s what Leighton tells herself when she informs the group that she left her phone behind and needs to head out.
She does have to head out. Just not for her phone. She stalks around the corner of Theta’s house, making brief eye contact with her brother, ignoring the questioning look in his eyes and swallowing hard. It’s not any of his business.
She loves Nico. But this is for her.
Just this once. Something will be for her.
