Someone who embodies traits that are diametrically opposed to Sonic's vibrant energy and free spirit, being reborn amidst a world that thrives on speed, anarchy, and decadence.

    I maybe died and woke up as Sonic the Hedgehog.

    Not the cool, fully-grown (or at least mostly grown teen) hero version either—no, I’m talking tiny kid Sonic, barely able to walk straight, dropped into a world that looks nothing like anything I’ve ever seen before.

    I remember my past life. I remember everything. And that might honestly be making this worse.

    There’s a strange island, too-fast instincts I don’t understand yet, and apparently I’m supposed to figure out how to survive being a literal speed legend while also… not falling on my face every five seconds.

    Also, shoes and gloves are apparently considered “enough clothing” here, which I strongly disagree with.

    I’m pretty sure I was not emotionally prepared for any of this.

    Thomas the Tank Engine is a calm world from a kids' show… or so you think until you wake up reborn as (Iron) Phoenix, a brand new engine with little or no clue, too much steam, and a knack for surviving teasing engines, impossible schedules, and very judgmental coaches. Somehow, you have to learn the ropes of Sodor's very own North Western Railway itself, keep your firebox from exploding, and figure out if anyone has ever taught engines about basic self preservation, and all while wondering how much trouble one rookie engine can actually cause.

    But this is not that story.

    This is about the people and engines you, The Iron Phoenix can't meet.

    This... is the Tales Of The Peel Godred.

    The Circus almost seems to have settled down after the Candy Canyon disaster. Then Pomni watches Gummigoo disappear like he was never real.

    Because Caine said that he wasn't.

    They hold a funeral.

    Because of course they do.

    Another loss. Another reminder that nothing here stays. Nothing here lasts.

    Everyone else moves on.

    Or at least pretend that they do.

    But Pomni just can’t.

    When the lights dim but never go fully out, that night she finally breaks. And the one who finds her isn’t who she expected – just the one who seems to know all too well what it feels like to fall apart.

    Because in a place this loud, this fake, this wrong, sometimes the only one who gets you... is someone just as broken.
