Summary
Taylor Hebert never triggers in the locker. MW: How.When Ash Ketchum was to set off on his journey across Kanto, the legendary Pokémon of the world were very interested to see how it would go. Arceus set a very simple ground rule: Nobody was to interfere. Ash was to have a normal journey without their shenanigans getting in the way. Of course, then they all found out that Ash had been freely chatting with the Kanto legendaries for nearly two months, some of them just couldn't leave well enough alone, and by the time Ash's journey was three weeks in he'd already indirectly saved the world. Things... kind of spiralled out of control from there.
Or: the legendary Pokémon have a chatroom and discuss disrupting canon as much as possible.

An alternate origin for Venom, where instead of bonding with someone who hates Peter Parker/Spider-Man, the symbiote instead bonds with a certain someone who shares it's mutual love for the wall-crawler. There's no shortage of symbiote MJ stories out there. Marvel's pussy-footed around the concept a few times and never really committed to it. This is a story born out of a decades' worth of ideas I'd been holding onto for how to properly tell such a story. :)

In a world full of the fantastical abilities known as Quirks, the population of the world without powers if frighteningly low. Statistics will say 20% of the world's population is Quirkless, but the vast majority of that number are elderly individuals born in the earlier generations of Quirks. Removing the elderly population from those statistics, the more accurate percentage of younger Quirkless individuals is closer to 5% of the world's population.
Most of the Quirkless population under the age of 50 face severe discrimination and ostracization from their peers. Most Quirkless individuals under the age of 50 will not reach adulthood.
In a world solely focused of Quirks, the search for extraterrestrial life and efforts to explore the cosmos have fallen to the wayside. Humanity as it exists during the Age Of Quirks has no idea what could be out there, lurking among the stars. In their ignorance, blinded by the potential of their newfound abilities, Humanity has forgotten that for decades they were calling out to the stars in search of other forms of life that could hear them.
The vast majority of Humanity, as it stands now, is not ready for first contact. But perhaps, one quirkless child is?
