“No, he didn’t; your name just rang a bell. I don’t know you like that or really at all, I swear,” Albert assured, and Finch believed him. He lifted his beer can up and right before he took a drink, he added, “But I would like to know you.”
It gave Finch the precious few moments he needed to process. His heart did roughly five messy somersaults behind his ribcage and he suddenly wished he could blame the alcohol for the heat rising in his cheeks. Regardless, he knew exactly what to reply with.
“I’d like to know you, too.”

The genasi continued. “Our chosen champion for this evening has been rather restless lately, so don’t expect it to hold back just because you want to ‘rescue’ it from here.”

Skittery and Race get captured after attempting to free dragons from an illegal fighting ring, and their punishment lands them in said ring for the public's entertainment. When Swifty, Bumlets, and Spot catch wind of this special event, they have to stage a rescue for their impulsive partners.

But Finch didn’t pass it over. He took a small step back, holding it closer to his body. “Don’t bother. I’ll just figure out how it works while I’m using it.”
“You’re going to use it with your bow? That won’t work.” Albert scoffed, then extended a hand as well. “I’ve actually trained with shields — give it to me.”

After finding a magical shield, Albert and Finch are forced into a duel that won't end until the other falls and the victor can claim the shield for himself. Unaffected by this dark magic, JoJo is the only one who can break the enchantment.
