He realised that by crossing that first threshold, and in allowing himself to be guided down the hall towards Frieza’s quarters, there was no backing out - he would have made his choice.
Once they arrived, the officer escorting him abandoned Yamcha the moment the doors slid open; and Yamcha jumped when, after entering the room, they snapped shut again behind him. The room would have been pitch black, were it not for a few well placed mood lights.
A soft, approving voice then caught his attention somewhere in the dark. “And he’s early…”
