Finger sliding on the magical gem embedded in her chest, Alhaitham knew it would be futile to keep asking these kinds of questions.
It had been almost a decade since that day at the temple’s doorsteps where she last saw the goddess.
At twenty-seven, Alhaitham had long moved on. Currently occupying a decent position within the castle, she had long put aside those days lounging inside a forest beside their humble village with a goddess in the recesses of her mind.
For Alhaitham, such questions where there will never be an answer would only serve to hinder her daily life.
Alhaitham hoped Kaveh had not gotten too weak, enough to be shackled. Controlled by greedy humans.
That was until one autumn morning.
Alhaitham met a goddess in the forest one day. Since then, her life had changed.

And then Izuku dreams, under the starless night sky, in this strange darkness, he finds himself standing in Ground Beta, with no one but Katsuki as his company.
Katsuki looks at him. "You got it from All Might didn’t you," he sneers, "that power."
Izuku wakes up in a cold sweat. He sure isn't at Ground Beta; it's still the midnight after his first day of U.A.
How, he questions inwardly, searching for a recollection to connect with, but everything comes out fuzzy, like covered by fog.
Somewhere far far away, All for One is still humming the lullaby he used to sing Izuku to sleep.

"We've never seen his face, Kaveh."
"Stop looking at me like that. I just want to know if he's handsome. Is that a crime?"
Alhaitham, who had gone very quiet, snapped his book shut.
"I need to make a call."
Kaveh blinked at him. "A call? To who?"
"Work."
Tighnari frowned. "You've never mentioned what you actually do for work."
Alhaitham was already halfway to the door. "Because none of you would understand it."
Kaveh is a cosplayer; in other words, a modern-day Prince Charming in a world where chivalry is dead, as quoted from Cyno.
All artists know that art, in any form, comes from a fundamental basis of inspiration. He's a very big fan of the anonymous comic book author known by the pseudonym “Sage". He doesn't make much of an effort to hide this fact.
The only issue is this: he also has no idea that "Sage" lives in the same apartment, one door down.

"I could tell you had the potential."
It was a horrible, horrible lie but also an obfuscation of the obvious truth, but what else could Akira say?That he had been killed?
That he had been sent back in time in an act of desperation?
That he knew absolutely everything about them despite the fact that they knew absolutely nothing about him?
Him being a cat was a non-issue, weirder things had happened, but time travel was pushing a line that Akira wasn't sure if he could cross without explaining absolutely everything and ruining every single plan he had made since Day One.
