Mesmerised, Ferdinand kept swiping his thumb across the scales and watched as they flushed a dark violet, mirroring the skin underneath. Was this how dragons blushed?
"Positively ethereal," Ferdinand murmured loud enough for Hubert's poor hearing to pick up on.
"What do you want?" Hubert gritted out, his voice sounding strained.
Ferdinand hummed, he moved his hands down across Hubert's shoulders and savoured the feel of the scales beneath his palms. "I should have thought that would be obvious by now."
Ferdinand is a knight inexplicably drawn to the dragons everyone fears and Hubert is a dragon who fears he is falling in love.

Oh, but with the way Garak worked his way across Julian's arms and down his back, Julian found he couldn't care less about his intentions. Garak's ministrations were gentle, as gentle as Julian had always imagined he could be, and to have such attention applied to him stoked a fire inside his heart. Garak may only be trying to return the favour, to repay a friendly debt, but Julian could be selfish for a moment. He could imagine, for just a moment, while his brain was too tired to sway him from it, that Garak was his soulmate.

A myriad of conflicting emotions clambered through the fog that was cast over Hubert's mind. Ferdinand's hand was on his waist. Ferdinand's hand was on his waist in public. Not only in public but directly in front of people. Ferdinand's hand was on his waist and instead of dread and anxiety over potential security risks, Hubert only felt relief and pleasure.
On a diplomatic trip to Albinea, Hubert and Ferdinand try to keep their newly established courtship chaste and secret, but a mysterious ailment encourages them to reveal their true feelings to one another and to other people.

"Oh, let me guess, it's that new Dabo girl who's been making eyes at you. Is that what this is? A bribe to grease the wheels before luring her into bed?" Kira scoffed. "Be honest Julian, I thought you said you wanted to give something real a chance."
She watched Julian visibly relax as the beaded curtain clinked against one another. "Well, there's not much luring involved in it to be quite honest."
Following his line of sight Kira felt her eyes widen as the newest patron joined Julian's side with a smile.
"Major Kira, Commander Dax, it is lovely to see you two as always." So said the only Cardassian left on the station, the level three security threat, oh Garak may claim to be only a tailor but Kira fought enough members of the Obsidian Order to know the look of one. If he wasn't one of them then she would go on that date that Morn started pestering her about.
"Garak is your date tonight? I thought you had higher standards than that, Julian."

"Your posture is terrible, Nerys," Jadzia said as if that sufficed for an explanation. As if the name didn't cause Kira's stomach to leap.
"Well I didn't exactly have time to take etiquette classes while-" her breath hitched. Hands, Jadzia's hands dug into Kira's shoulders. Kira bit her cheek to keep the gasp worming its way out of her throat inside.
"You do so much for us, for Bajor, so allow me to work out a few knots for you."
Her thumbs pressed into a tight knot with a circular motion and it was all Kira could manage to gasp a questioning, "Jadzia?"
Something was off, either Jadiza had too much Romulan ale the night before or....this wasn't Jadzia at all.
