He's not a superhero anymore, not really. Without the backing of the Avengers or Stark Industries, Spider-Man is more of a street-level vigilante. The police and media are just as ready to paint him as a menace as they are a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Though he has no plans to ever be unmasked again, Peter realizes that it might help to get a lawyer.
It's a good thing he knows one.

It's not that Karen Page didn't know better than to meddle in the affairs of vampires, it's that she couldn't ignore the truth just because of the danger it posed. She'd heard a whisper about trafficked blood here and a rumour about the powers of coven leaders being far beyond the bounds of the average vampire there, and, well, she made a connection.
Matt Murdock was the catalyst. She was sure of it. So it was both unfortunate and (embarrassingly) exciting to wake up alive after he'd caught her investigating in places she didn't belong. It was too bad that she was in way over her head.
