Izuku Midoriya loved winter.
Winter had always been his favorite season. Winter meant curling up with his mother surrounded by soft All-Might-themed blankets. It meant warm, steaming cups of hot chocolate with a dash of spice and fluffy marshmallows after long days spent making snowmen and throwing snowballs with Kacchan. It even meant getting gifts from his father overseas. Later, when his quirk never came resulting in both his father and Kacchan abandoning him, winter was still a comfort. Winter meant less sweat for Kacchan to scar Izuku’s skin with. It also meant that fewer people were inclined to chase him through the streets of Musutafu, and when they did they quickly gave up.
Yes, Izuku Midoriya adored winter before attending UA.
But that was before his scars ran bone-deep.

Summary
Izuku is a rabbit omega. He is also an anthropologist. He's interested in the secluded Predators who live on the mountain near his town. Plenty of Alpha prey animals had gone up the mountain but no one met the predators and survived. Izuku believes that if is his quick and clever enough he might be able to catch a glimpse of the predators and live to tell the tale.
But when he comes across a snow leopard predator, Izuku realizes he's outmatched.

“Gute. Omega. Ravit...” He sat back but before Izuku could move or try to run he grabbed him by the throat. “Rut mate.”
“R-rut?” Izuku asked. He clawed at the ground trying to get away. “No wait wait-”
The predator squeezed his neck, cutting off Izuku’s air. “Shh,” he hushed. Izuku clawed at his hand but his grip was too strong. The leopard’s claws grazed his skin just shy of digging in. “Don fite. Shhh. Dormin.”
His vision grew blurry around the edges. In a matter of moments, Izuku was out cold.
