But shenanigans ensue anyway as Luffy grows up in the care of three overworked, eccentric men and the Doting, Helicopter man-child that is Garp.
“Are you sure about this?” Garp asked gruffly, even as he took the baby from Dragon.
“She won’t be safe with me.”
Garp looked away as he secured the baby in his hold, watching the tiny girl in his arms yawn and stretch, before snuggling up to him.
“Fine. What’s her name —”

Draken may hate reading novels and couldn’t point out where New Zealand is on a map, but Takemichi knows from experience that the older boy is an absolute math genius.
Takemichi could drone on and on about Mitsuya and his perfect scores, or Chifuyu’s beautifully written papers that get paraded as the class standard, but it wouldn’t change the fact that no matter how intelligent she may have thought her friends were, she would be completely off the mark by at least one continent and a big, blue ocean.

Everything felt so peaceful. There was no evidence of strife or disrepair like the Konoha in his time. None of them knew of the Third Shinobi World War already building in the shadows.
