It’d been a long, long time since Sora had felt safe…..anywhere, really.
Which wasn’t really saying much, to be honest. First it had been the terribly neglectful life in Imperium, wondering when the other shoe would drop. When her parents would finally be tired of her. After Imperium, it was the constant paranoia of living in the Crossroads. Her and Arin were barely teenagers, with no real understanding of the world beyond its cruelty. Sora had never understood how Arin could be so positive constantly. Not when they were always, always in danger.
Anyways, Sora hadn’t really felt safe and apparently that had made her immune system…..better? Stronger? Or maybe she was just so stubborn that sickness never bothered her.
Now that things had settled down a bit, Sora felt. Off.

The fight was finally over. The Overlord had been defeated (again), the repairs on the Monastery were looking promising, and the evening sun was bathing the courtyard in a soothing warmth. It should have been the perfect ending to a battle well fought, but, per usual, Lloyd couldn't enjoy any of it. And this time it had nothing to do with the persistent blacks, whites, and grays that he’d known his entire life dulling what soulmated-others described as a colorful sky.

(So this is a one-shot I wrote years ago on Wattpad, when I was a newbie fanfic writer, and I thought I would post it here for Pride Month.)
Lloyd was scrolling on Kai's phone when he came across a confusing add. He doesn't understand what LGBTQ+ means since at darkleys it was always a swear or slur. When he hears it's pride month he decided to ask what it is, in ambiguious terms, and got some interesting results that he still isn't sure of, but he does not regret the result of his questions.
