Summary
Odysseus is, for a full second, determined to sacrifice his men. But Eurylochus’s eyes beg him to reconsider, and there is already so much blood on his hands - and then, in the midst of his desperation and fear, Odysseus has an almost violent epiphany: he has been given no time limit.
And so he shrugs lightly. “That’s true, actually. I don’t want you all to die either.” He looks pointedly away from the swords pointed in his direction, meeting his second-in-command’s gaze with a beam bright enough that the man recoils. “Thanks for bringing that up, Eurylochus! You’ve given me a lot to think about.”

Summary
The only thing Antinous will ever be king of is self sabotage.
Antinous thinks he's raping Telemachus; Telemachus has long lost any ability to understand when he's in danger and thinks they're just letting off steam together. They both are having fun for wildly different reasons.
Part 2: Antinous tests the limits of what he can get away with.

Summary
Mortal and god faced each other, one standing above the other. A mockery of the status quo. Blasphemous. Poetic.
“Call off the storm.” He did not beg. He did not demand either. He simply told the Sea to obey.
The Sea would not.
______________________________
Odysseus defeated Poseidon right before reaching home, but seeing him broken and bloody, the mortal cannot make himself simply leave the god. It felt too much like the battlefield at Troy. Hoping for a sliver of humanity still inside of him for when he finally greeted his family again, Odysseus decided to tend to Poseidon before leaving. He never expected a second encounter with the God of the Sea.

Summary
“Odysseus.” Odysseus did not startle. He also did not greet Diomedes despite having known of his approach. “Odysseus?”
Perhaps this was some sort of battle related trauma. Diomedes ended up sitting down besides Odysseus and let his shoulder bump against the sullen King. “Talk to me, friend.”
“...About what?”
“What’s going on? Polites is concerned, so are your men. Was it the blood? Or the men who fell? Rest assured, friend, none of yours fell today.”
“Do you think King Sisyphus fights against his punishment? Do you think the Fates would allow him, if he did?”
Flinching, Diomedes observed the change in Odysseus’ eyes. Instead of the colour of the sea, Odysseus’ eyes were taken over by a hue of red– only noticeable when observed in a certain angle but definitely present. Diomedes knew what caused a hue of red like that.
Odysseus had been touched by Ares’ Rage.
—---
In which Odysseus is dropped back in time into the Trojan War and chooses to mess with everyone until it gets him killed or gets him back to Penelope. Others take notice.
Or, Odysseus is soooo done.
