“Come on, dear, he’s 14. Don’t you remember that age? I certainly remember all the books my dad got me because I was finally a ‘big girl’. The fact he earned more money that year had something to do with it, too, but we don’t comment on it.” His mother said the last part in a shouted whisper, slightly leaned towards Ben, as if sharing a secret, her brown eyes and warm smile getting a hint of mischief he only sees on her when she’s giving him comfort he never asked for.
“Mom, dad. I know what I want to do for my first project decision as the Crown Prince.”
