Summary
In a world where HYDRA was wiped out in the '40s, Steve is found by the Army rather than SHIELD. General Thaddeus Ross wants a perfectly obedient super-soldier at his command, and to that end, he sets out to break Steve to his will. As Steve struggles to come to terms with all he has lost, his life in captivity is only made bearable by the presence of another prisoner-- another super-soldier known only as "Soldat".
Then the Avengers strike a deal with Ross to "borrow" him for missions, and Steve is faced with a team who dislikes him, an organization he doesn't trust, and the question of what he's willing to do to escape Ross's clutches.- Language:

Summary
Steve gets hit on a STRIKE mission and is reported dead to the Avengers and the world. In reality, a magical accident trapped him in the body of a dog and Hydra saw their chance to swoop in and capture him.
No one knows he’s alive or living as a dog besides Hydra, and that has led to months of painful abuse and experiments. After a narrow escape, Steve finds himself on the streets, trying to stay hidden so he can survive.
A year later, war veteran and amputee Bucky Barnes catches sight of a raggedy husky skulking around his apartment. He instantly wants to help it, but Steve has been tricked before, and he’s not about to make the same mistake twice.

Silence, immediate and defending, as Megatron's jaw falls right off of his face. Optimus mirrors this in an expression of abject horror.
Iacon is at peace, but their Prime and Protector are a pair of angry, blithering idiots. Cybertron would be a lot better off if they'd just kiss and make up already.

But then she looks at Megatron, and knows she didn’t mishear at all. He’s speechless and blushing, opening his mouth only to snap it closed, faceplates heating so abruptly that the air around him shimmers. And why wouldn’t he be?
After all, Optimus Prime just hit on him.
