His body is a tapestry dedicated to Blackbeard; tattoos and scars memorialising their journey; their victories, their losses, and now, Edward's descent into madness. Despite his long career, Izzy has very little else to his name. There aren't many things that can survive the life that piracy inspires."
With Bonnet gone and Edward lost to the depths of Kraken madness, Izzy tries desperately to keep The Revenge and her remaining crew afloat.
Eventually though, the status quo fractures and a new order takes its place.

He shifts his bags from one hand to the other and looks around the food court area for somewhere to sit and get a coffee. He ideally wants a beer but he'll take what he can get at this point. There's a doughnut place that looks promising and he starts heading over when a flash of something catches his eye. He looks over absently and nearly chokes on his tongue.
Across the hall, there's an ice cream parlour that for some reason he cannot fathom seems to have a nautical theme, but that's not what stops him in his tracks. The figure he can see leaning over one of the booths where a group of girls are sitting does though.

"Oh dear," Stede says in a tone of voice that doesn't imply concern at all. Ed smirks. Stede's levels of bitchiness are truly unparralled and he absolutely loves it.
"Don't worry, he just does this now and then. He gets in a twist because something isn't right or we're not piratey enough or whatever and goes off on one. It won't come to anything."
"Are you sure? He did seem rather insistent just then."
"Yeah, he just needs to get it out of his system. I'll talk to him tomorrow."
"And talking will be enough?"
Stede's voice goes a little higher towards the end of his question, as though he doesn't quite believe Ed but doesn't want to make it obvious.
"Well, the kind of talking we do, yeah. He just needs something to bristle against. A firm hand."

Stede moans into the bedding, feeling weepy and a little nauseous
"Everybody leaves me," he whines, his voice muffled and pathetic.
"You did your fair of leaving too, if I recall."
Stede groans as he flops onto his back and stares up morosely at the ceiling.
"God, no wonder everyone wants off the ship. I'm terrible," he wails.
"Jesus Bonnet-" Izzy lets out with a huff of exasperated laughter, but Stede shushes him with a wave of his hand.
"No it's true! I'm a useless Captain and a terrible lover and now everyone is leaving me and I'm going to end up - "
Izzy's weight shifts and Stede looks up in alarm.
"Where are you going?" He says in a panic as Izzy ignores him, stepping towards the desk and rummaging about in one of the drawers. He pulls out a cloudy bottle of amber liquid and shakes it pointedly at Stede.
"If I'm going to have to sit through yet another fucking pity party, I'm going to need more to drink."

Sirius' head jerks round, eyes wide with shock. Remus is still speaking but all Sirius can hear now is white noise. He stares at Remus, who is carefully constructing his chicken sandwich as he talks, seemingly unaware of the conversational grenade he's just launched into the room.
"What?"
"You know, Rita Schaffer? She was that 4th year who had that incident with Bleatchley's Beauty Bleach in '75 just after our exams and Madam Pomfrey had to regrow all her hair-" Remus starts as he puts down the tomato but Sirius cuts him off with a sharp wave of his hand.
"No, not that, you idiot. The other bit. You said - you said you're in love with me?"

There's a muttered grumble from under the pile of the covers and James cups a hand around his ear in a highly exaggerated fashion.
"Sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear through the mountain of bedding you're sulking under."
