Brynn was running late for work, a minor offense. Maybe she should have skipped the coffee, maybe she shouldn’t have bolted into the street to try and catch the bus. Maybe at the very least, she should have looked both ways before running into traffic.
Unfortunately, she’d chosen poorly and it ended about as well as you’d expect.
Except instead of waking up in a hospital, she’d woken up in a dungeon surrounded by some incredibly furious LARP-ers. That had certainly escalated the unpleasantness that was about to consume her day. But the giant ball of green fire in the sky, and inexplicably in her hand, sort of cemented it as the worst day of her life.
And then it just kind of gets worse from there.

Ashvalla Lavellan wasn't supposed to fall in love with the distrustful Commander of the Inquisition. She was supposed to find her sister - now the Herald of Andraste - in a village full of Shems, ensure her safety, and do everything necessary to ensure she remained alive. But being possessed by a spirit of Love meant she could not hide from her unwanted feelings, nor could she escape the reality of her situation; no matter how much she wished otherwise, a possessed mage and a former Templar could never be.
If only that could stop her heart from beating faster every time she was near him.
