Asks him, “Ran out of scrubs?” all easy, like the heat of his fingers aren’t burning Dennis raw. He’s scared to look at Robby, scared to look at Abbot. A little worried about how he’s pretty sure his chest is turning red from the blush too. They glance at each other, unreadable, but he’s sure it’s something in their weird secret shorthand, and Robby pulls Dennis away from the row of lockers, dragging him along by the collar. It stretches a little further than it should, and Dennis hears a few stitches pop. He probably shouldn’t have been wearing this shirt out in public even before, but especially not now.
