Regulus Black is dying.
He was alone, isolated from the world, and being dragged down to the icy depths of the inferi-infested lake. He supposed this was his fate, a fate he so rightfully deserved after the countless mistakes he'd made, the relationships he'd ruined and the friends he'd pulled down with him.
And he was okay with that, that he'd die alone and in pain, forgotten by the world because of his misdeeds and the ever-growing collection of karma he'd been building up over the years.
So imagine his surprise when he closes his eyes and welcomes death with open arms, only to wake up in his bed with scars all over his body, an unmarked forearm, and knowledge of a future he'd once lived?

And, what if for once, he didn't swallow down his words in fear of being rejected or laughed at, and instead, let the influence of his brother's courage be the driving force behind his actions?
