Summary
During a weeklong conference in Okinawa, Utahime needs to: 1) make a good impression to please her boss, 2) mingle with important sorcerers from all over the world, 3) avoid awkward conversations about her cursed technique, 4) work on a presentation about sorcery with her other colleague, 5) enjoy some much-needed respite on the beach and in the ocean, and 6) ignore the urge to blow up on Gojo Satoru and embarrass herself in a professional setting.
But with the resurgence of old memories, unsettling concerns about other sorcerers' ulterior motives, and feelings better left unsaid rising to the surface, Utahime learns the hard way that needing and wanting are two very different things.
(Or, every good show needs a Beach Episode, but let's make it complicated.)

A pale arm shot through the hardened ground from beneath. The ground was hard, and the dirt bed cracked and echoed loudly as another arm shot upward, dirt clinging beneath fingernails. A broad set of shoulders encased in a dirty beyond repair jacket followed. And then the face followed, blindfolded, pale, dirty. Clumps of dirt clung to his tangled white hair.
He gasped the moment his head appeared above ground.
And the universe stilled...as if it knew. It whispered...

He paused, adjusting his sunglasses as he braced for her reaction.
“You are the most qualified candidate for this infiltration due to your background in music and your innate technique. Your mission is to embed yourself within an idol agency, identify the source of these curses, and exorcise them quietly from the inside.”

Over the past six months, multiple windows have reported abnormal cursed energy activity centered around a civilian minor in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture.
These disturbances correspond with irregular fluctuations detected in Master Tengen’s barrier network, raising concern over the possible emergence of a compatible vessel. The sudden cessation of activity three weeks ago suggests deliberate concealment by an unknown party.
The assigned sorcerers must locate the suspected vessel to confirm or deny its compatibility. If confirmed, the vessel must be brought back immediately. Any third parties interfering must be promptly dealt with.

Set seven years after the events of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, Satoru Gojo and Utahime Iori are forced to partner up in order to secure Tengen's merger before it's too late. With past failures and wounds still fresh, both will soon be forced to reconcile with the fact that they don't know each other nearly as well as they think they do.
Gojo is determined to fix his past mistakes. Utahime isn't so certain what to believe anymore.
