“Shit. Jean, is that…?"
Judit swearing pulls you violently from your circling thoughts and your eyes snap to skim the pothole and rutting-ridden motorway and the few motor carriages ahead of you. The Coalition Warship has left the sky empty for a few ravens gliding idly under the clouds that promise cold trouble. It takes two seconds before your brain realizes what is different. “Keep your eyes on the road, Jude,” you command because *you* cannot take your gaze away from what looms waiting for you in Martinaise, most pressingly the sight that is the towering statue of the bastard king Filippe III and the person climbing on it.
You are still too far away to have a court-grade visual confirmation, but you already *know*, because you cannot think many fat assholes to climb up old metal and wires to a height of a three-story building.

Standard Yotsuba-Arc fic with a little bit of humor, a little bit of political philosophy, and a lot a bit of yearning. Light Yagami is the prime suspect in the Kira investigation, and while a lesser man might deteriorate under the bone-splintering weight of a near-constant surveillance, Light is anything but a lesser man.
