“And that includes the sleeping conditions, aye?” Izzy asked. The wood he whittled felt smooth in his hand, the knife handle worn and rough.
“Sure. Why not.”
“Giving up your comfy bed in your private room to sleep above deck —”
“You can sleep in my bed, then, since you’re so concerned.”
Izzy snorted, applied too much pressure on his next push stroke. “Bonnet, I’ve gone years without sleeping on a fucking mattress. If I start now, my body’ll fucking kill me.”

“What.”
Izzy glances away from Bonnet’s face, down at the steaming cup of tea he’s holding out towards him, and then back up again, brows raised. Bonnet lifts the cup up a little higher, making it clink delicately against its matching porcelain saucer.
“I asked,” Bonnet repeats, apparently entirely unbothered by Izzy’s hesitance, “if you’d like a cup of tea?”
Izzy narrows his eyes at him. “You’re bringing me tea?”
Bonnet’s smile widens, as if Izzy’s finally on the right track to whatever the fuck Bonnet’s end goal is, here. “Yes, well. I’m trying to.”
Which has never happened before. And is also highly suspicious. Izzy tries to take a surreptitious sniff of the supposed tea. “Are you trying to poison me?"

That sealed the deal – Crowley didn’t even care what the man looked like, he wanted him. He wasn’t too bothered about whether or not his advance might be unwelcome – his gaydar pinged rather heavily at the man in his tartan bowtie. Of course, there was every chance Crowley wasn’t his type, but that didn’t always matter either – and he really was quite… keen. It had been a while.
“What are you reading?” He asked, doing his best to sound seductive, and feeling oddly weird about it, like he didn’t quite hit the right tone. The stranger straightened up and turned around to look at him – and just like that, Crowley’s fantasies popped like a balloon.
The other man was beautiful, yes, a cute button nose, almost criminally blue eyes, an innocent and yet very attractive expression on his face… but he was young. Crowley had assumed the other man to be his age, maybe a few years older – this man was at minimum ten years younger than him. He tried not to cringe, suddenly feeling quite sleazy about his previous thoughts.
“Oscar Wilde, Salome.” The other man replied, fingers still stroking the page.
Well, DAMN.
