Summary
Katara had greatly enjoyed the act of getting pregnant, however actually being pregnant was proving to be a lot less fun. While she had been prepared for many of the challenges she now faced, she hadn't expected the feeling or lack thereof of Aang's touch. She shouldn't be surprised right? Her body had changed so much from the one Aang had adored but now she was experiencing that lack, it hurt in ways she didn't know it could.

"Is that so?" Dennis' hand moves to cup the back of Robby's head, petting the thin, greying hairs resting at his nape. "You missin' me when I'm not around, Robinavitch?"
Robby chuckles into his skin, planting soft little pecks all the way up to his ear. "Damn right. I need you right where I can see you."
"I'll be there," Dennis starts to breathe a little heavier, trying and failing to fist a handful of Robby's short, thin hair. "Next time, all the time. You'll see me."
Robby returns home from a night out with the day shift, eager to show a sleepy Dennis just how much he was missed.

And maybe it’s the fact that he spent the last three weeks thinking about the night Robby came back, and the absence that has burrowed a hole into his chest, and all the things he has wanted to say but didn’t have the time or the strength to, and the hunger, and Dennis’ ceaseless need to feel useful, maybe that’s what makes him say what he says next.
“You can take it out on me,” he says, almost surprising himself. Robby just looks baffled now, cocking his head and furrowing his brows. Dennis kind of hates how expressive he is sometimes. He continues anyways. “I mean, you can tie me up, do whatever you want to me. As… stress relief.”
“Is that what you want?” Robby asks, still not making eye contact.
“Yes,” Dennis says. He can barely get the word out.

Summary
For a while, Robby thought that it was his touch that grounded Dennis. That it was the weight of his hand that eased up his boy’s flighty thoughts to allow him a reprieve. It was only after their relationship transformed, turning into something more concrete and official, that Robby realized that Dennis wasn’t grounded by his touch—it were Robby’s hands that made Dennis’ mind stutter to a peaceful lull.
