Summary
The thing about Harry's neighborhood, and really all of Surrey, England, was that while everything was someone's business, it was never their issue.
When Mrs. Perkins' husband cheated on her, no one bothered to tell her. Only murmured to each other that on Wednesday evenings when she and her three children were at church, he'd come home early with a woman in his car. Then they'd ask Mrs. Perkins how church was the next day during book club; what time her husband finally came home. And ‘he leaves you with the children, really? Dear, I don't know how you do it.’
They didn't discuss many books at all in Aunt Petunia’s living room.
It happened at school too, at the grocery store. That day at the library.
That day when he killed a man.

Summary
Maybe that's why he's so obsessed with the concept of love. His parents don't get it the same way he does. They don't act like the movies where love is ethereal. Maybe its divinity is just out of their grasp.
Maybe that's why he can't reach it either: he doesn't know how.

Summary
Eddie is working hard on figuring himself out, getting a life, and also reestablishing contact with Buck after worrying about them drifting apart and their friendship changing. Realizing that sometimes people misunderstand his relationship with Buck should not be the shock it is. Also, if Chris could stop launching verbal sneak attacks on him, he'd appreciate it.
Meanwhile, Buck's learning to parent a toddler while not at all being insecure about something said by one Margaret Buckley. He's just studiously avoiding the word 'Parent' like the plague, and otherwise doing his damn best.

If Buck had a nickel for every time someone left him their kid in their will without his knowledge—well, he’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice now.

Summary
The order meeting had gone well, and James Potter ran over the details in his head as he cleared cups of half-drunk tea from his dining table. He had gathered a tidy stack of cups to deliver to the kitchen when an enormous crack sounded throughout the room, as if an entire army had apparated into his house.
Startled, he set down the teacups, and began to urgently move towards the entrance hall, where his wife was seeing off their guests. He had to make sure that Lily was ok, and if Dumbledore or Moody were still hanging around they might be able to offer an explanation for the sound. If it was some kind of mass-apparation, they could very well be under attack.
He had just reached the doorway when a dark shape materialized from above, and then James was on the floor, staring at a familiar looking, dark-haired boy who had fallen squarely on-top of him.

Summary
Mike's been touching Will, sleeping in the same bed, playing D&D but only the two of them, and calling him beautiful. Will Byers is losing his mind.
Season 5 rewrite (byler, henderhop, steddie) where Will has a gun, Mike becomes a vampire, and the dead are brought back to life to be kissed. Vecna has also decided to play a horrifyingly real game of D&D.
“Hey, look, I’m on my knees, and I’m asking, El, please, I’m asking you, tell me what’s wrong.”
Her fingers are claws, and she stretches them forcefully so they are straight. She will not be upset. There are words she can say to make him stop talking. There are things she can do.
1. Throw him across the room with her mind.
2. Show him Will’s sketch-paper.
3. Ask why Strahd has a boyfriend.
These are all stabby things that will stab Mike. So she says, “I like Dustin. I kissed him, and I like him better.”

She’d grabbed Lucas’ hand and yanked it as hard as she could, only for him to slip out of her grasp, mouth parted in a silent scream as a vine wrapped around his neck. It hissed and smoked and the rift disappeared with him, leaving only sparkling ashes in its wake.
For three days, she’s been alone. No one else had made it out of any of the gates. The one person who could help her figure this out, Dustin, is stuck in there. With Lucas.
