Summary
The Night Fury isn't a dragon, but a curse. Hiccup finds this out in the worst way possible.
I saw a video about HTTYD recently and it sent me down a spiral of reading fanfic that gave me the idea for this. Full credit to the respective authors, I'm only taking a few pieces from their works and trying to build something of my own on top. Sadly, the basic premise of the canon divergence means Toothless can't exist.
Current plan is to try to cover the events of the first movie. I might keep going into the second one if my Inspiration holds out that long, but I'm definitely not doing the third. Also not touching anything to do with the Netflix shows, I haven't watched them and don't plan to. Might make an exception for any abilities Toothless gains in them, though.
