He didn’t think his father would be proud, necessarily, but he thought Robbie would have at least appreciated the irony of it all. An arch enemy beaten and another Robertson lost to the suit. The scales balanced once again.

    Robert loses his leg in the final battle against Shroud and has to find himself within the long and hard recovery afterwards. Will he let those around him help him, or will he push them all away? There's been a lot he's ignored about his body and past injuries, and now it's all catching up to him. But it's Robert, which means he definitely won't be going gently into that good night.

We all know this is not a linear process, and I feel like at the beginning, Cross would struggle more than most in finding a way to feel safe enough to open up. I see so much of his need to appear strong in Omega, and I think it would transfer to both of their coping mechanisms as well. And so this happened, and I made myself even more sad <3

Of course she thought they were good at what they had been created to do, had fought beside them long enough to trust their guns at her back when she threw herself into battle. She had bled beside the men she thought of as her brothers, grieved with them. But she had never been afraid of them.
    Until now.

    Humans are some of the only species in the galaxy to have adrenaline, this is why the Clones are made as humans. Other species are absolutely terrified of the clones in an eldritch-being kind of way when they watch them limp away from being literally blown up, or other horrific injuries.
