Bio

Hello, I'm Defying.Expectations, though you may call me Anna, or D.E, or Mrs. Snape . . . whatever flies your kite. I'm a twentysomething with extremely obsessive tendencies. One of them -- as you can probably tell -- is spending a good deal of my time typing away on some fan-fiction or another (or staring at the monitor in frustration, or banging my head against the keyboard . . . something along those lines).

Although I have recently been writing much more original fiction, fan-fiction remains an old love that shall never entirely go away. Especially during these strange pandemic times, I've found that I'm turning again to fan-fiction more frequently. It's nice to be able to hang out with my old friends (both the friends I've made in the FF community and the fictional friends in my head) even while the world falls apart. When not found reading or writing stories, I am usually snuggling with my cat, watching more TV than I care to admit, and/or resisting the urge to drink yet another caffeinated beverage.
