After what feels like an eternity, Sawamura sighs and hangs his head. “I’m not,” he says, although it’s so low that Tetsurou isn’t sure he heard correctly.
“What?”
“I said I’m not seeing anyone,” he repeats louder, snapping his head up to fix Tetsurou with a wry, weary look. “So what’re you gonna do about it?”
In a moment of drunken insanity, twenty-three year-old Tetsurou promises to marry Daichi if they're both single at thirty-five; twelve years later, he faces the consequences of his actions when Daichi decides to follow through with that promise.

Summary
First mate is a title that Zoro has carried with pride.
It remained untarnished, golden, and shining in the light of his reliability and loyalty. Thriller Bark polished it beyond belief. Marineford broke it over its knee. His once-invincible pride as first mate was shattered then, only just finished being slowly and painstakingly welded back together over the course of two years. And here he was staring at its broken pieces once again.

It’s rare for Ushijima — calm, composed, indomitable Ushijima — to come home in a mood sour enough to forego greeting Oikawa with a kiss on the forehead and a curious inquiry about his day, the earnestness of his interest still doing something funny to Oikawa’s heartstrings even after all these years.
Sometimes, Oikawa will do better giving Ushijima space, letting him brood and work through the problem on his own to tell Oikawa about it later.
Sometimes, Ushijima wants him close, but doesn’t quite know how to ask.
Tonight, he has a feeling it’s going to be the latter.
