Other times I imagined being burnt to crisp by loose nukes, and at least once a year, I’d even envision what it was like to be eaten by cannibals, to have them rip the muscle off my bones with strong greedy hands before holding the flesh up above to let the blood dribble into their mouths.
“You’re seriously demented,” is what my sister said when I relayed the thought to her.
