Summary
What exactly is Vox’s fault, and how is that so? Well, great fucking question.
With the collaboration the two had made together, Val had quickly garnered thousands more souls at a rapid pace.
Which should be a good thing. Because as everyone knows, more soul’s means more power.
But. What was conveniently not mentioned was how during the strengthening process, the powers develop faster than the body. Which wouldn’t be an issue if Val’s fucking saliva wasn’t his main fucking power.
OR:
Val becomes more powerful, but his body needs time to adjust to his strengthening venom. Until then, he's affected like any other sinner. Which obviously is an issue.

Vox’s eye twitched. His fists clenched and unclenched at his sides, leaving small indents in his palms.
“What?” He hissed, snapping his head back.
For a split second, he considered killing him. Shutting up that big fat mouth of his for good. Making sure that face never haunted his dreams or thoughts again.
It was a wonder that Valentino hadn’t angered the wrong person and stayed alive long enough to become a misfortune to him.

“They created something they couldn’t control,” Shadis reasons quietly. “They created monsters.”
“Assets,” Erwin corrects him. “If one knows how to use them.”
“And you think you are capable of using one?”
Erwin tilts his head to the side. “I think, given the right circumstances, I can. Wouldn’t you rather join the Survey Corps and finally get the Citizenship, rather than spend your entire life in the Underground?”

The Ackermans have been hunted down for decades and are known to be extinct. When rumour has it that there might be one left in the Underground, the Survey Corps intend to find him before the Military Police does.
