“I’ve been thinking,” Dick says slowly, fidgeting with his seat belt. “We should tell everyone our news at dinner tonight.”
He’d tactically planned to drop this idea during the car journey to give his husband as little chance as possible to argue with him.
There’s a pause.
Slade sighs, and he grips the steering wheel a little tighter. “Tonight? You want to tell everyone? All at once?”
“Yeah, why not? Rip off the band-aid. Quick and painless.”
Slade’s jaw clenches. “I don’t think that conversation is going to be either of those things. Wayne will probably be pissed that you didn’t tell him first.”
“He can be pissed all he likes. It’s our decision who to tell and when.”
“You’re only ten weeks, Dick. The advice is to wait until twelve weeks before we start telling people. We don’t want to be too hasty.”
OR
Dick is overjoyed when he falls pregnant, but he has an overprotective family to deal with which only amplifies some of the anxieties he already has.

Jason makes a face, but then he takes a step forward, almost looking concerned. “I just dropped by to check you’re okay. Nightwing hasn’t been sighted on the streets in a while.”
Jason is worried about him.
“I’m okay,” Dick says with a warm smile, touched that Jason would come here just to check on him. “Nightwing won’t be around for a while though. I’m taking a leave of absence.”
“A leave of absence?” Jason parrots. “What the fuck for? Are you injured? Sick?”
“Not exactly,” Dick chuckles, his hand drifting to his stomach.
A moment of silence as realisation dawns on the alpha.
“Oh,” Jason says, his eyes widening. “Oh.”
