Summary
A new creature in town haunts people with illusions of their worst nightmares. As the pack splits up to search, Derek gets caught in an illusion and Stiles gets hurt. Stiles needs to snap him out of it before he hurts someone else and help Derek through his guilty nightmare. With tensions high, the pack hunts down the creature. Everything goes well until Stiles gets caught by his own illusion.

Stiles was not having a good day, hell, Stiles was not having a good year. Derek, the pompous alpha, had thought it was a brilliant idea to create a course for the 'pups' as he called them, and not tell me. So while I was running in the forest, trying to train for lacrosse, I tripped face first and fell into one of metal traps I liked to call, 'Derek's kill-everything-extraordinaire-trap'.

Summary
Derek's reaction surprises him.
He snarls and launches himself towards Stiles. His eyes are red and promise bloodshed. His claws are out and oh-so-very sharp. He leans in close even as Stiles yelps and shrinks away, his hot breath against Stiles' bandaged neck and—inhales.
"What the hell," Stiles says, flushed. He covers his neck with his palm, feeling extremely exposed. If this isn't a breach of some form of social etiquette then he needs to write a letter to Miss Manners and let her know to add another one to the list.
Inhaling again and apparently not finding whatever he was looking for, Derek's brow furrows. "This isn't a werewolf bite."
Stiles groans. Werewolves, apparently, think they're the only ones that go around biting people. "Oh, my God! Not every guy who bites me is a werewolf! Sometimes they just want me!"

Stiles gets bit at a party. Not by a werewolf, just by some creep at a party who thought that was flirting. He's irritated that Scott and Derek just immediately assume all bites are supernatural. He's bewildered when Derek admits he has feelings for him.

The funny thing is, Stiles actually has no idea who just climbed through his window. Doesn't really care, either. All he wants to do is catch a few hours of uninterrupted sleep before the nightmares drag him back to consciousness.
Again.
Still, he expects some sort of snarky response if it's Derek or Peter. Or maybe the vocal embodiment of Scott's puppy dog eyes if it's his best friend.
He doesn't expect several seconds of silence.
And he definitely doesn't expect the sudden and unmistakable thump of a body hitting the ground.

He’d stalked over to the other side of the cave, still eying Derek warily and growling, then settled protectively over a mass of clothes, leaves and animal innards. Summary
Stiles knew, deep inside, that no one was coming. His dad wasn’t going to be able to find him, Scott had other things to worry about, and the rest of their friends walk on Scott’s side more than Stiles’. Sure, they cared about him and would fight for him if they had to, but in a choice between helping him or helping Scott, there really wasn’t a choice at all. So. He was alone. And he was pretty sure he was going to stay that way.
Which meant, of course, that he had to get out of this on his own. And that was fantastic, the only squishy, breakable human of a werewolf pack versus a coven of witches hellbent on getting information out of him.

Derek wandered into the store with him, some of the cashiers cooing at Stiles because, yes, yes, he was very cute, thank you. He was getting more attention as a fox than he’d ever gotten as a human.
Figures.
He just pouted while being carried through the store, one of the girls helping Derek with what he needed and bringing it all to the cash register for him since he seemed reluctant to loosen his grip on Stiles. He probably didn’t want him wiggling free and wreaking havoc across the store.
He was pretty destructive, he’d admit that.
