“I understand,” he says, even though he definitely does not, “But, uh, if it’s not too much to ask— I’m assuming you drove here— do you think you could give me a lift to my work? It’s just a five minute drive, but I bike, so I need—”
“Need me to be your knight in shining armour,” Tom finishes, nodding confidently.

Ryland Grace has had his fair share of surprises. Between meeting Rocky, visiting an alien planet, collecting Taumoeba, and surviving what was supposed to be a suicide mission. So, saving a man from a blood-filled submarine floating in space after receiving a radio transmission should be child's play.
Except it's not. Because now he has a dangerously mysterious man who would rather die than answer Grace's questions. And all Grace has are questions.

At times even the swaddle of their faith could not contain that pain, but to verbally denounce that decision would be to turn their back on the faith that led them down that path in the first place.

Many however, did not end back up in their original places, and were scattered throughout the fabric of universes. Two Time, yes, the delusional and manipulated cultist with trauma (from the cult and from the Spectre's realm) larger than a horse dick, for example, has found themselves in one with very questionable circuses. Whether fortunate or not, the circus finds them questionable too, and they don't know if it's good or bad.
