“Darling, please if it’s ok I understand if you do not wish to talk about him. We can just silently cuddle and go back to bed-“ Kazuha was interrupted by a somber but quiet yell. “No! I should be able to tell you about him, it was 7 years ago and you’re my lover. Please I…need to talk about him.”

Albedo doesn’t like interacting with people because everything ends up awkward. Kaeya’s really the only one who doesn’t seem to bother the alchemist too much. He can adapt to the conversation and fill the silence. Maybe Albedo can finally understand love, but who knows?

Damian sniffs, somewhat scandalised, "Of course I have. Thomas and I found Grayson's old CDs."
Bruce grunts, "VHS tapes. Dick was a child before CDs were popular."
"VHS tapes," Damian amends, not even bothered by Bruce's very blatant eavesdropping, "In fact, we are to watch The Small Fish tomorrow after school."
"The Little Mermaid," Bruce corrects, amused.
(Tim comes to the realisation that he really doesn't know his youngest brother. That changes.)

Tim snorts. “You just felt threatened by the demon’s genes and didn’t want to lose your ‘I’m taller than you’ card.”
“And look at that, now I won’t.”
“Hey, kiddo, you okay?” Dick asks instead. The version of his brother before him is hardly a kid anymore, looking somewhere between seventeen and eighteen; but that’s still his kid brother, no matter the age. Or universe. "You hurt your head? The batcave is the other way."
“Ah,” Damian says, quietly, as if to himself. He doesn’t spare them a glance as he starts walking towards Batcave entrance. “That’s quite peculiar. I’d have believed for the Detective to be less predictable. Odd.”
Dick’s spine goes rigid.
(Or the one where an older Damian visits them by accident and it had been a long long while since Dick had seen such blank stare in his brother's eyes. He soons finds out they weren't his brother's to begin with.)

Damian grumbles low under his breath as he makes his way towards the manor’s parlor, his pre-written speech full of complains and the like regarding his family already memorized as he pushes the parlor’s door open and greets the odd Shakepearean worthy scene before his eyes.
It’s far from their typical Thursday, Damian will give them that, but then there’s only one explanation left.
“Oh, no.” Damian sighs from the door, dropping his shoulders in both exasperation and exhaustion. “Who died this time?”
(Or the one where Damian Wayne crosses the country after a failed kidnapping to get back to his family and they all believe he's dead again. He's well aware that his skills and stuborness are not appreciated enough.)

“Wasn’t that the turkey’s name?” Tim answers, narrowing his eyes at his little brother who throws them a glare in return.
"That's Jerry." Dick supplies from the side.
