Suguru looks at him over his shoulder as he speaks, then freezes. His eyes grow wide.

Suguru stares at him.

[“Satoru,” Suguru says, rubbing a palm against his face. “You jerked off in my bed!”
“But it wasn’t on purpose!” Satoru pulls off his glasses, big eyes on display as he puts on his most pitiful expression. “How d’you even notice!”
“How—“ As he takes a deep breath, Suguru holds up a hand to keep Satoru at bay. “How could it not be on purpose?”
Satoru lets out a heavy sigh, misery in his voice as he mumbles, “I wasn’t planning on doing it, y’know. It just happened.”
Not looking particularly convinced, Suguru simply lifts a brow. “Explain.”
“…” Gazing at him for a few seconds, Satoru feels his cheeks grow even warmer as he then drops his attention to the ground. “…I was really turned on.” He then remembers something, smacking his palms together as he looks back up. “And you told me I couldn’t do it in the shower!”
“I told you to do it in your own room!”
“Ehh, you know what they say—“ Satoru grins. “Your home is my home, or whatever. Right?” ]
I just know that they had this convo in canon as well. They're so cute and silly. This fic just makes me feel giddy.

Summary
It’s strange, seeing Satoru this vulnerable, but he takes Satoru’s hand, squeezes it tight, and leads him down the hall. He makes sure not to let go even when they get to the exhibit. He squeezes Satoru’s hand again reassuringly. Satoru squeezes back.
What a coincidence, Suguru thinks as he watches the fish swim around, that he doesn’t have a soulmate, either. What a coincidence his soul mark was a betta fish, too.
Or: Geto Suguru is married man who doesn't believe in soulmates. Neither he nor his wife have one, after all.
And then he meets Gojo Satoru and everything changes.

Just beautiful. Loved both versions and regularly think about how well flyingmonkiesattack describes Gojo's emotions and anguish.
