The fact was, Luke had chemistry with everyone. This was undisputed, so when Flynn tried to doubt Luke’s skills, he obviously had to prove himself. And like, maybe that flushed look on Reggie’s face wouldn’t leave his mind after the fact, but that was totally normal, right?
Right. There was no need to overthink this.

Summary
It’s not that Alex isn’t happy that his friends are dating, he just sort of wished the guys who’d never given any indication of being anything other than straight would have liked, dropped a couple hints that his unrequited crushes maybe weren’t so unrequited after all. Granted, he’s still hopelessly in the closet, but it still would have been nice to know. Except apparently everyone else had seen it coming from a mile away, and now Alex has to deal with his three best friends being in a lovey dovey relationship, showing every sign that they were perfectly happy and content with the way things were.
Nope, that didn’t hurt at all.
The question of why they didn’t ask Alex to join them was not one he dwelled on, because the answer was fairly obvious – they didn’t want him to. So he just had to deal with that, and he could deal with that, if his dumb emotions would just cooperate.
