Summary
For six years, Sakidō Tenshi had no idea of what her life was supposed to be. Who was she? Where did she come from? What had happened that stole away the first twenty-three years of her life? Was she meant to stay in a lawless, brutal town, surrounded by violence and disrespect, utterly lonely despite the pirates that lived, came, and left the jungle island? But though she cannot remember her past, she might be able to take hold of her future after meeting a certain crew.
It is when they finally reach the skies that things start to feel almost too familiar. Some puzzle pieces start to fall into place, but most of them still cannot find their proper spots. And as Tenshi attempts to navigate the nostalgic déjà vu, the false “god” of the skies, Enel, might have a closer connection than she realizes. And discovering the truth behind her amnesia will change everything.
Though the crew manages to escape from Skypiea, with their new crewmember in tow, things don't go smoothly as they accidentally land in the nearby G-8 Marine Base. It is here that, while scrambling to take back the Going Merry and escape again, Tenshi gets her first experience with the Navy and its Marines, the sworn enemy to all pirates.
