Agnes is very weak to pretty faces, so it is to no surprise that she folds when she meets our little dark lord who has a lovely scowl that could make deities weep with envy. She knows that he certainly despises her very existence and could very well be plotting her murder that very moment. But ever since she found out that she had a semi-unspoiled younger cousin, she couldn't help but try to ease into his little world. She could also graciously, very graciously, overlook the... slightly sociopathic... borderlining psychopathic spiels he gets into.
