Rin Itoshi expected to breeze through his new high school, but instead, he was saddled with tutoring the school’s loudest, most incompetent student: Yoichi Isagi. Isagi doesn't care about math, science, or staying awake in class; he only cares about soccer, and it's frankly annoying how his eyes sparkle only for the field. Rin plans to be cold and indifferent, just another "annoying duty" to get over with, but Isagi is surprisingly relentless.
It’s absolutely frustrating how charming it is to see someone care so much about something that isn't their brother, seriously. Rin hates that he's the one falling first for this absolute chaotic idiot, but as time passes, so does Rin's desire and attempts to not fall madly in love for him.
Rin decides to destroy Isagi... on the soccer field, of course, just to show him up, but deep down, he’s already lost this game.

Isagi Yoichi was a no-name striker that loved playing football.
His parents were very supportive, and honestly he couldn’t ask more from them. But there was someone who understood his passion for football, someone who had been with him since his birth.
Isagi Yoichi wasn’t born alone, he had a twin brother, Isagi Niyodo, who, just like his brother, was also a striker born with the same ocean blue eyes Yoichi had.
But his brother had achieved far more than Yoichi, getting a scholarship from Royale at age 12 for his football skills, which his brother accepted.
He came as often as he could for holidays, and made sure to never miss their or their parents’ birthday, but he did miss their 15th birthday. The fact that he wasn’t there automatically made that birthday the worst one for Yoichi.
Not only that, but he barely visited when they were 15 for some unknown reason. But when they turned 16, the visits skyrocketed, and Yoichi couldn’t be happier about that.
Why? Because his brother was and still is the kindest in the world. He always looked out for Yoichi when they were kids.
Yet, Yoichi couldn’t help but feel like those ocean eyes were hiding something from him and his family.

I love reading abt Nagi realising he's depressed or Reo clicking it and helping him bcuz I feel like it shud be brought up yk? He clearly displays the symptoms but unfortunately the mangaka has never dived into it which absolutely sucks because I'm sure a lot of depressed people resonate with him and maybe they might feel motivated to start if they see characters they kin to start doing it? I'm not sure tho but, again, I'm really glad these fanfic exist the canon material severely lacks it....
